Business process

A sequence of actions performed by employees to achieve the result. For instance, the «Order processing» business process includes contract execution, invoicing, and rendering of a service.

Business processes can be:

  • internal, which means they take place within one company. For example, an employee transfer to another position;
  • external, meaning they are carried out by different companies. For instance, purchasing of raw materials

Operation

A business process flow in Saby specifying:

  • the employees who take part in the workflow;
  • the sequence of stages the document passes through;
  • the way the participants can process the document, and the status it will get

Transition

A condition for the transition of a document from one stage to another. For example, if the amount of a document exceeds ₽ 10,000, it is routed for approval of the manager

Functional role

Powers and authority of an employee for a certain operation. For example, a «Head of department» is authorized to approve a contract, while an «Accountant» — to post an invoice payment.

Functional roles enable automatic assignment of executors

Stage

One of the phases of an operation, for instance, «Execution», «Check», «Approval». For each stage, you can select the executor and configure the transitions to other stages
